I registered this blog almost two years ago, and am now writing in it for the first time. Seeing as this is public, I send a warm hello to anyone who might stumble upon it. While I had originally planned on using this space for posting street style images, for now, it's just a log about the things I'm thinking about, doing, interested in, enjoying, listening to, watching and making.
1. I ordered this print from Pearl & Marmalade, LLC (www.etsy.com/pearlmar
malade) because it seems like it fits the bill for a tattoo piece I've been turning around in my head for the past few years.
2. As I'm dizzy from a head cold and vaguely sore from yesterday's root canal, today was a day I sat around and watched movies I've always wanted to see but never had. I just finished watching Blowup (1966). It's stylish and self-conscious and has been written about by so many others that I won't go into the film, but I liked it. Herbie Hancock does the entire soundtrack, with the exception of one song performed (in the movie's club scene) by the Yardbirds. Amidst the cool fashion scenes and good music there's a murder story and a topless Jane Birkin. And now I'm watching Chinatown (1974) and after that I think I'll dive into Persepolis (2008).
3. I'm working on putting some examples of stuff I've done in the past semester but here's a little bit from one of my final projects. It looks like it's missing colors... I guess it's probably because it's in CMYK format. I'll have to figure that out at some point.
